    Hi,
Here is the recipe for 'CHOCOLATE NUTS BURFI' . Prepare and enjoy.

    INGREDIENTS:
    Maida – 1 cup
    Sugar – 1 ½ cups
    Milk Powder - ½ cup
    Coco powder – ¼ cup
    Ghee – 3/4 cup
Almonds and cashew nuts (chopped) – ¼ cup

    DIRECTIONS:
Add maida and ghee to a heavy bottom pan and keep stirring till you get nice aroma.

At the same time, in another stove, add sugar and ¾ cup water in to a pan and make sugar syrup to one string consistency.

When both are boiling, switch off both the stoves. Immediately pour the sugar syrup in to the hot maida.

The mix will foam at ones. Keep Stirring continuously.

Mix milk powder and coco powder and add to the mixture. Keep stirring till the mixture thickens well and leaves the sides of the pan.

Grease a plate with ghee and sprinkle chopped nuts over the greased area.

Spread the thickened mix over the chopped nuts.

Allow it to cool and cut in to pieces.

The stirring of the mix after mixing sugar syrup with ghee maida mix should be with the stove switched off? I tried making barfi before(another recipe) but got the consitstency of halwa.Though it tasted good couldnt cut to pieces, can you give me any tips for getting the right consistency.
