You all will say what is there in Upma, we all know how to make it. But today I tried a new recipie of Umpa. Here is the recipie. Waiting for your comments First I made Onion and tomato chutney this way Ingredients Onions Tomatoes Green Chillies Ginger Kadipatha I cut Onions, Green chillies, ginger and tomatoes after washing To temper Mustard Chana Dal Urad Dal First in oil I put the ingredients for tempering with Kadipatha, then put the onions fried a little with green chillies and ginger, then added tomatoes and fried a little, then added salt, haldi and lg powder. Then when cool grinded everything. Then made Upma as usual and added a part of the tomato chutney to the Upma and stirred it nicely. Then with the remaining put oil and the chutney and stirred it nicely till it became thick. For me and dh it was tasty and now wait for your comments and if you like it to try and see

I make a similar upma for my kids, since they dont like pieces of onion and tomato in their upma It was the only way I could make them eat upma
My DH loves upma if its not white!!! So usually I make kichli with sooji and vermicelli which is a bit more spicy and yellow. But dear Viji Maam, thanks for this new upma recipe. I will surely try it on the weekend. It sounds delicious
