Today I made Sambhar without dhal and tamarind First I fried onions and tomatoes in little oil. Kept some separately to grind with coconut. Then added oil, thenmustard, hing powder, kadipatha, methi powder and after themustard crackled added the fried onion and tomatoes, then added bhendi and baigan (vendaukkai and kathrikai) , added salt and haldi and fried for sometime, then added sambhar powder and water. When the vegetables were cooked added grounded paste of onion, tomatoes and coconut.
Sriveda dear welcome to my thread. Try and let me know how it was. If you put more vegetables it will taste nicely. Today I had only these two vegetables, otherwise you can put pumpkin, drumstick etc
