    Tomato gravy(chapis):

    Ingredients:

    Tomato - 8 nos
    small onion - 10-15 nos
    Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
    Chilly powder - 1-2 tsp
    Bayleaves -1
    Garlic- 10 cloves
    oil - 3tbsp
    salt
    water-3 cup

    To grind:For masala

    Coconut - 1/2 cup
    clove - 4
    pepper - 1/2 tsp
    corriander seeds-1/4 tsp
    khus khus - 1/2 tsp
    cinnamon stick - 1/2 inch
    jerra -1/4 tsp
    Ginger-garlic paste -1 tbsp.

    Finely grind all these ingredients and keep aside.

    Method

    1. Finely chop tomato and onion.
    2. Take a pan,pour the oil .Let it heat.
    3.Put the bay leaves and garlic cloves.Cook it for 1 min.
    4.Add the small onion.cook until the onion turns golden brown.
    5.Then add tomatoes.Cook well until the oil comes up from it.
    6.Add turmeric powder and red chilly powder mix well.
    7.Then add the masala paste. Mix well.
    8.Pour the water.let it cook.
    9.When all the water get absorbed , mix well until the oil comes up from it.
    10.Switch off the flame, when it comes to gravy consistency.

    You can use this gravy for rice,idli&dosa,chapathi.
