    Ingredients

    Ripe Kerala Bananas -2
    Chilli powder -1/4 tsp
    Turmeric powder -1/4 tsp
    Water -2 cups
    Grated coconut -1/2 cup
    Green chillies -4
    Cumin seeds -1/8 tsp
    Turmeric powder -1/4 tsp
    Curd -1 cup
    Salt - to taste

    For seasoning:

    Oil -1 tbsp
    Mustard seeds -1 tsp
    Curry leaves -1 sprig
    Dry red chillies -2 (seeds removed)

    Method:

    1.Remove the skin and cut the bananas into halves. Slice them into 1 inch pieces.

    2.Cook them with water, chilli powder, turmeric powder and salt.

    3.Grind the coconut, green chillies, turmeric powder and cumin seeds to a fine paste and add this paste to the cooked bananas.

    4.Mix well and simmer for 5 minutes.

    5. Then add beaten curd and bring it to boil, stirring continuously

    6.Remove from flame and keep aside.

    7.Heat oil in a pan, splutter and fry curry leaves and dry red chillies.

    8.Pour this over the curry and mix well. Serve with steamed rice and pickle.
