I made this tea cake for my dear son and it came out really good !!!!!!!!! Recipe: Maida - 2cups Powdered sugar - 1 3/4 cups Butter - 200 gms ( I measured 14 tablespoons heaped) Eggs -3 Baking powder - 2 1/2 tsp Vanilla essence - 1 tsp I made two cakes with this measure. The method I followed is : I put the maida along with baking powder in a dry mixie jar (large) and switched on the whip button several times to ensure both are mixed well. (Instead of sieving) Then i put butter and powdered sugar in another small mixie jar and beat it till soft and fluffy. To this I added 3 eggs and vanilla essence till all the four ingredients blended well. Pour this butter+sugar+eggs+vanilla essence mixture to the maida+baking powder little by little. Mix well using an egg beater till you get a thick batter. Grease a cake tin. Sprinkle maida. Preheat oven for 15-20 minutes. bake for 30-35 minutes. Baking time may vary in yours so adjust accordingly. Allow to cool. Tastes reallllly goooood !!!!!!!
Hi Sunitha, The cake really looks yummy..... Thanks for posting it. I have few doubts about baking.. Please clear it out so that it will be helpful for me. 1. Have you done this in microwave oven . 2. What is the brand of your oven. 3. what is preheating in microwave. 4. What is the temp used for preheating. 5. After preheating do we need to set temp.
