Bread Pudding Recipe

    Hi friends ,
    Here is a recipe of bread pudding which is quite easy to make.
    Ingredients
    white bread 8-10 slice
    milk 1/2 kg
    custard powder 2-3 tablespoon
    sugar 6-7 tablespoon
    marie biscuit 10-12
    malai (cream) 2 tablespoon
    milk 4-5 tablespoon
    powdered sugar 2 tablespoon
    vanilla essence few drops
    Recipe
    Take 2-3 spoon of milk and mix custard powder in it, boil 1/2kg milk ,add sugar when milk starts boiling then put custard mix in it, keep stirring and let it cook for 10 min on low flame . keep aside until it goes to room temperature.
    Cut the sides of bread slices and arrange in a square bowl.

    Take 4-5 tablespoon of milk, 1 tablespoon of sugar powder and few drops of vanilla essence and mix the whole in a bowl, then sprinkle it on the bread so that bread will become tender.
    Take 2 tablespoon of malai, 1 tablespoon of sugar powder and few drops of vanilla essence, mix it, and spread on the bread.
    Now put a thick layer of custard on the dish.
    Grind the biscuits and again put a layer on top of the dish.

    Now keep the desert in refrigerator for at least 2-3 hours to settle.

    Optional
    You can sprinkle crushed nuts for flavor and decoration.

    Was searching for this exact recipe,the cold bread pudding.Everuwhere i could find was the baked version with eggs and we dont eat eggs.also i wanted the chilled pudding.Thanks a lot

    Bread pudding

    3 cups white bread, cubed
    2 cups milk
    1 Tbsp. butter
    4 eggs
    2/3 cups sugar
    1/2 cup raisins
    1 tsp. ground cinnamon
    1/4 tsp. ground nutmeg
    2 tsp. vanilla

    Sauce:
    1 C packed brown sugar
    1 stick butter cut into pieces
    1/4 C honey

    Place bread in an 8 x 8 inch baking dish. Combine milk and butter in a saucepan and cook over lo heat until butter is melted, allow it to cool slightly. Beat eggs and add to milk mixture. Add sugar, raisins, cinnamon, nutmeg and vanilla and pour over bread cubes. Bake for 30 minutes at 325 degrees, pour sauce over bread and bake an additional 10 inutes.
