5 cup fruit halwa

    This is a very easy to prepare sweet and the measurements are easy to remember. This uses less ghee and sugar compared to other halwas.
    Also it tastes yummmmy!!!

    This recipe comes handy when you have surprise guests or you dont know what to do with the left over bananas.

    Level: Easy
    Preparation Time: 20 min
    Serves: makes approx 10 pieces

    Ingredients
    Mashed banana: 1 cup
    Sugar: 1 cup
    All purpose flour/Maida: 1 cup
    Milk: 1 cup
    ghee: 1 cup

    Safforn food color - a pinch
    Elaichi /Cardomom powder - a pinch
    Cashew nuts - 6

    Procedure:

    1) Mass the banana using hand or blender
    2) Take 1/2 cup of ghee in a pan and fry the cahsews and keep it aside
    3) In the same ghee fry the mashed bananas a little bit (apprx 50 sec)

    4) In the same ghee roast the all purpose flour/maida until aroma comes out ( 1 min)
    5) Add sugar and stir in low flame ( 1.5 min)
    6) Add ghee to the mixture
    6) Once the sugar starts melting add milk and food color
    7) Stir the mixture continously until it gathers comes off from the sides of the pan (4-5 min)

    8) Add cardomom powder and pour the mixture in a greased plate

    9) Cut into desired shape once it has cooled down (10 min)
