Hi Mithy, I make some easy to make dishes.. Yes I will share in this thread... I was surprised when I read that you didnt like Bombay chutney... I guessed you would have increased the besan powder quantity. Next time, try this... Soak 2 spoons of chenna dhal for half hour. Grind it to a nice paste and use it for the chutney... Also I just use onion, tomato and green chillies, salt... thats it. No additional ingredients... Its not that spicy, but very tasty... Another thing is dont use Bangalore tomato... use 'naattu thakkaali'.. ilt
I usually don't like Salmon. Because its very hard, and the spices we add never seem to get into it. But Salmon is an oily fish, and its VERY good for health. I found this recipe myself and its really changed the taste of salmon to my liking. Ingredients: 2 pieces of salmon 1 lemon 2 spoons of Yogurt Half spoon chilli powder Ginger garlic past - half spoon Salt - as required Garam masala - half teaspoon Turmeric powder - a pinch Coriander leaves - chop finely.. Mix all the ingredients and marinate salmon pieces in this mix for 20 minutes. The mixing part wont take more than 10 mins. Do these mixing and marinating in a glass or any microwave oven safe bowl. Then microwave it in full heat for 10 minutes. If you want you can turn it at 5th or 6th minute. But thats really not necessary. Its just for your peace. The fish would get cooked really well. The lemon juice would have sneaked into the pores. And the coriander leaves would be all over the salmon and when it mixed with other spices it spreads nice smell. Actually one piece of salmon alone would be very filling. You can have some bread or salads in side. And remember you haven't added a drop of oil in it. In India, you can try the same with other fishes with less thorns.. And I guess instead of microwave oven you can really use the tawa.. but you have to keep turning the fish... (I never did it, but can't see why not) Hope you girls would enjoy it as much as I did... ilt
