    Soniya...Kandipa Ill make capsicum sambar and much more when we meet in future..Dont worry. My son's fine now da. Thanks. SIL is doing good too. This is her 8th month :) She asked me to prepare Almond peda again. Planning to do over the weekend. Also considering other options that are healthy sweets. Moong Dal Halwa shud be a good choice no soniya?

    I actually dont like avarakkai soniya. But my daughter likes and its very good for health. So I make.
    THis is how I make
    Cut avarakkai into very thin slices. I pressure cook with water. Then in a kadai after thalichufying, add two finely slit onions, two chopped tomatoes and saute well. after raw smell goes, add sambar powder, one pinch turmeric, salt and then the pressure cooked avarakkai. Switch off after a few mins.
    This will be mildly spicy like a thokku. will go well with sambar sadham, kootu sadham or Rasam, curd even.

    Since we pressure cook avarakkai already our work gets over faster.

    Breakfast - Idly with mango thokku pickle & Pudhina podi( NIlgirisla vanginen)

    Lunch - Pudhina coconut milk rice with aloo roast :)

    nice recipe i will try it. we add little moongudaal half cooked in avarakai and grated coconut which i love more with this finish.
    your recipe seems to interesting.

    whats almond beda means burfi ya.

    moongudaal halwa how it taste like how about moongudaal kesari.

    i tasted in a party virtual treat that halwa you told but i dont like the taste as its very nice paste like.

    how you make moongudhal halwa dear.
