Today was my DD;s first day at school-nursery..first ever time she is going to a school..so i thought i would decorate this special day with a nice padi kolam...
for more than 2 weeks now,its too windy in the morning time and so i had a tough time i making kolam...and it dint come well as expected but still it was good :)...today it took 40 min for me to make a padikolam with kavi...but i believe if it was not this windy,i would have completed in 30 min...

    will share it soon.. :)

    I have a question here....

usually i have heard people asking to use the tea strainer for uniformly spreading the colour powder for rangoli..but then how to do it for medium size kolams or in the borders???
how to get that uniformity in the borders/joining area of 2 designs which would be of different colours?? or for medium size kolams...
what are the methods or tools you use to spread the colours evenly ????

i also have a feel that i am using too much colours and also it doesnt look so great on the floor..can anyone help me?!!!
for reference you can check out the margazhi kolams for my collections..you can see the look and feel of the colours!!!!!!
