Hi Kasisheela

As you say selecting gifts which wouldn't occupy space in luggage is a good suggestion. I will pass on your tips to my mil when selecting gifts.

Thanks
Geetha

These are ideas jus came up to my mind.
Hope it will be useful to u.

Dear Geetha,
Surukku pais are available in bag shops besides Queen's, a shop in Luz Bazar opposite Luz MRTS. I find them the best.
Kola thattus availble in a wide variety of designs. You will get more ideas if you shop around all places in Mylapore & finally decide, depending on your budjet & size of the gift.
Love,
Chithra.

What an interesting discussion

1)Do you know the always, evergreen gift would be "KumKum Boxes"(kum kum Barani"),according to the budjet you can select from silver to stainless steel. But you must select the latest models of the same instead of the usual models.

2)Small pictures of deities which can be kept in purse,or pasted in some notebooks, dairy or in books. You can find that in temples.

3)artificial lamps("Vilakku" in tamil) can also be chosen. But i don't think whether we can be make a good use of it.In present days priority is given for space saving.Especially if you are residing in apartments.Because in most of the apartments, provisions are not given for separate pooja rooms.
