    Dear Elder ladies of Chennai.

    I wanted to have certain details regarding Tanjore Style Sumangali Prarthanai to be performed in my family shortly. Pl clarify.

    1. The total no of Elai including Swami Elai will be even. ie 7+1 or 9+1.
    which include one 'Kanya Pen'
    2. By the two sides of swami Elai, two Elai has to be spread and rest of
    Elai opposite to swami Elai.
    3. Saree on the Kalam belong to daughter or daughter-in-law.

    Please give clarification on the above.
