Significance of various ingredients used for Shiva abhishekam , can we use oil for it

​Hi everybody,

From past 2 months I am performing abhishekam to lord Shiva by using

Water mixed with ganga jal,
Milk,
Sometimes using curd and sandal wood paste

Today I had a dream, in that one woman suggest perform abhishekam with sesame oil.
My doubt is can we perform abhishekam by using sesame oil? If we can what was the significance?
Daily I am seeing so many people doing abhishekam by usig milk with sesame seeds and alone with sesame seeds.

If anyone can give the detailed information about the ingredients and significance, it will be very help full to me.
