    Hello all,

I live in a single bedroom house and do not have a separate pooja room. The main door of the house is in the north-east corner.

Where should the idols/photos kept and where should we face when doing pooja.
    My options are
    1. Idols on North wall of living room, we facing north while doing Pooja
    2. Idols on West wall of living room, we facing West while doing Pooja
    3. Next to main door, Gods on East side wall, we facing east while doing Pooja. Someone told me I should not keep the idols next to main door, we will have expenditure more than we earn.

Please advise which will bring prosperity and peace

My parents have always told me that the idols/gods pictures have to face either east or west. I don't know about avoiding keeping them near main door. But if thats a concern then I would say keeping them on the west wall, having the idols face east and you face west doing pooja.
