Default Skin Care in Winters

With the onset of winter we will feel the tinge and strechyness in the skin.. So here are some good formula's to try on..

1- Avoid skin irritants, such as products with strong fragrance or color or high alcohol content. This is very important for people with sensitive skin

2- Use a mild cleanser and avoid using soap.

3- Use a good moisturizer for your skin type. You may need to use a richer moisturizer during the coldest months. Apply two or three times a day.

4- Try to use calming products, even if your skin is strong.

5- Make sure you are taking your vitamins regularly, especially Vitamin E, A, C, biotin and K. You may also want to consider eating more fish or taking Omega 3 supplements in form of flaxseed oil or fish oil.

6- Exfoliate using a gentle method.

7- Use sun block. The sun may not be so strong but it is still there and it will damage your skin if you do not protect it.

8- Put a rich balm on your lips.

9- Have facials if you can to pamper your skin with a rich mask and a relaxing massage.

10- Do not forget to drink plenty of water (most people do not feel thirsty during winter so do not wait; just drink regularly) and eat healthy.

Last but not the Least, Smile and be happy. A positive attitude will make you happier, healthier and prettier.

For Indian skin Spf 30 is good... I always use the lotus brand.. its nice.. Specially in the winter days I use the oily one and for the summers I get the matte sunscreen.

Never had any rashes till now. It is good.. well the tips were good jasmine.. Thank you.

Well you can try this sunscreen but just be sure about the SPF..

I mostly use Vaseline or other petroleum Jelly in the winter..

Though they appear to be real sticky but applying them in the night is a good option.

the skin stays supple the whole day.. This is easy i guess rather than those extra stuffs on skin what say..

Winters are setting in.. and these are good tips.. Thanx for sharing

I think the petrolium jelly is a good tips coz this thing is found in all ladies Dressing tables and though it is sticky but works good on dry skin..

But you know in real cold even the vaseline freezes on the skin and I do not know how effective it might be. Does it happen even with you?
