Hello Amarpreet,

Well as much as I have shopped the best place is Raidi market near the Golden Temple, More like you can say behind the Golden Temple. They have a good variety of materials, really choiseful and of good quality.

And they are affordable some of them which are Rs.20/Metre are also nice. Just I gave as a piece of information. But their are good once too. hope it helps you.
