Default sitsar gurudvara

Sangat is encouraged and respectfully requested to communicate with the sevadars, the content of any items they wish to speak about – and to let your sevadars know directly of any issues they may have or require additional information regarding Gurdwara matters.
Gurdwara Singh Sabha does not accept responsibility for the opinions expressed by individuals from the stage.

The Sikh religion was founded by Guru Nanak, who was born in 1469. It was originally intended to bring together the best of the Hindu and Islamic religions. Its basic tenets are similar to those of Hinduism, with the important modification that the Sikhs are opposed to caste distinction and pilgrimages to rivers. They are not, however, opposed to pilgrimages to holy sites. They worship at temples known as Gurudwaras, baptise their children (when they are old enough to understand the religion) in a ceremony known as phul and cremate their dead. The Holy book of Sikhs is the Granth Sahib, which contains the works of the 10 Sikh Gurus together with Hindu and Muslim writings.

The word Gurdwara is a combination of the two nouns "Guru" meaning God and "dwara" meaning house or door. Therefore, gurdwara means House of God.

It marks the site where the Guru had his camp in 1708 AD after the departure of the emperor Bahadur Shah. The tenth Guru held his court and congregation here. It is the site of his own tent where he was convalescing after he was attacked by assassins. It is the place from where the tenth Guru rose to heaven along with his horse Dilbag.

Nice post keerat, But i would like to know about other gurudwaras..
