Default Gurudwara Bangla

SikhOL Network welcomes you to the unofficial web site of Gurudwara Bangla Sahib. We have been operating this website from past six years. In its earlier incarnation, the website was available under www.BanglaSahib.com domain which was owned by a third party. Current website is available from Bangla Sahib Gurdwara Sikh shrine dedicated to Harkrishan Sahib the eigth Sikh Guru and Bangla Sahib Gurdwara Sikh shrine dedicated to Harkrishan Sahib the eigth Sikh Guru domains. Gurudwara Bangla Sahib is blessed by the healing powers of the eighth Sikh Guru Shri Harkrishan Sahib and tenth Sikh Guru Shri Gobind Singh Sahib wrote in his famous "Vaar Shri Bhagauti Jee Kee"; "Remember the name of Guru Harkrishan seeing whom all sorrows are dispelled". This shrine is daily visited by not only thousands of Sikhs but also people of other faiths. This site brings daily hukamnama from Gurudwara Bangla Sahib. May Guru Sahib bless you all.

Default Re: Gurudwara Bangla

According to the legend related to this Gurdwara, the seat of Guru Sahib was disputed and Ram Rai, brother of Harkishen, sought the help of Aurungzeb. Aurungzeb called Guru Harkishen to Delhi, where he was entertained royally by Mirza Raja Jai Singh in his own palace, along with Diwan Dargah Mull, Bhai Gurditta Ji, Bhai Mati Das Ji and the mother of the Guruji. Later, this fabulous mansion was converted into a Gurdwara in the memory of the Guru Sahib and was called as Gurdwara Bangla Sahib. This shrine has also had the honor of hosting sixth Guru Sri Hargobind Sahib, on his arrival in Delhi.

Main vi jaa ke aayaa si GURUDWARA BANGLA SAHIB ,othe saara din saari raat sangat aaondi rehdi aaa.

Best visited during the annual birth celebrations of Guru Harkishen Saheb, the Gurudwara Bangla Sahib becomes the hope of the milling crowds, who visit the gurudwara with the hope of fulfilling their wishes.

More than anything else, it is the faith and the belief that seems to do magic on the pilgrims of Gurudwara Bangla Sahib. Considered to be one of the most oft-visited pilgrim destinations in Delhi it has made home in the cultural heritage of the country.

Has anyone taken part in this?
