play schools in pune near aundh --rules for admission

hi puneities,
I need an help from u regarding info about school admissions . i want to put my son /toddler in some form of educational methodology.he is now 2 years and 6months(will complete 30 months in this month end) .i'll be back to pune by aug 1st week . so i wish to know where to put him,either play schools, nursery or in schools...really i dont know the difference bw playgroups and nursery or whats the age limit and criterias for actual school admission? i stay in new d.p road ,aundh ,pls tell me with good educational institutions in that area or near by too.

please send me information regarding this. iappreciate your help ,in advance.

Guess your child is jan/feb born. It means he is now 3yrs or will be 3yrs next month. If you are looking for CBSE/ICSE pattern then your child is eligible only for nursery now. Even my son is jan 2005 born. I inquired in Dav school, Spicer school and City International in Aundh. All of them have same opinion. I did not know these limit and i had put him in local nursery last year.
Unknowingly I had filled up Dav school form for Jr.Kg and got through. But At time of payment of fees they denied to give him admission in Jr.KG. According to the new central gov rules the age for Jr.kg is 4yrs and for Std 1st is 6yrs Thus he will have to repeat nursery again.

Did you face such kind of problems?Which school is your son going to now?

great day. i appreciate ur reply . i was searching for admission of my son ,when i came here in sep 2007. at that time dav told us to try for nursery admission in 2008-2009.so we are waiting for it ...but changed our mind to jumbokids nursery from dav.just gotappli form for nursery admission in june 2008 from jumbokids.
by the way ,i stay in aundh . where are you? how is ur son doing?

My son is doing well. I shall be shifting to Pimpale saudagar this march end from Nigdi. Yes I have seen jumbo kids on parihar chawk. How is it. And why did you change your mind..any specific reason.
I have not put him into any school yet.....since he has to repeat nursery. Not worried much ...kahi bhi chalega.
How about your son....what is his name?

i am planning to shift to pune by this april/may. looking for a school in aundh area.pleace help me . my daughter is doing her L.K.G.in chennai.has anybody have idea about GLOBAL international, CITY international schools ?.is there any BILLABONG high?any other good ICSE/CBSE schools in that area?

Just google for GIIS pune. But I have attended the orientation..not liked it personally. But still take a look at it . It is far from Aundh around 8 kms. Where will be staying in pune. A well known school is DAV public (CBSE) parihar chowk, Aundh. Also a school called Spicer elementary at Burman chowk (ICSE). City International in Aundh, but there are humors that this school does not have a Zilla Parishad approval.
Also just wanted to confirm if you are siji who lived in Hiranandani thane, and your daughter Elizabeth. Then we know each other.

thanks for the reply,we are planning to come down to pune next month.except other schools GIIS gave us good support. let me see in detail later...
and YES we were in hiranandani estate thane, left to shanghai 2 years back.our house is in ENGLEWOOD,behind VEGA. but my daughters name is JENNIFER.
if i am the same person whom you think of pl. let me have your details.....
