Pune-Panvel-Nashik Rail Link


On 31^st March 2008 passenger train for Pune-Panvel-Nashik was inaugurated. This route will connect Panvel with Kalyan, Pune and Nashik. Connecting Panvel with Kalyan is the greatest gift that railways could give the commuters as they were quite hassled with bus services and the amount they had to shell out every day along with the hustle and bustle inside the bus. Thousands of commuters travel to and fro Panvel and Kalyan to meet up the ends of their daily life and a train service is any day a greatest boon they could have ever be gifted with. The train will cover 291 kms in 6.5 hours. There will be two trains on this route everyday. The Nashik train will arrive at Panvel at 2:43 p.m. and the Pune train will arrive at Panvel Station at 9.00 a.m.
