Most Gracious ILites, You really overwhelmed me with your responses to the Thiruppavai 2 thread. And here's the next verse. The 25th verse in Thiruppavai. The tall, all-pervading Vishnu! You were born to a mother and brought up by another And were carried in stealth in the dark of the night The demon Kamsan who could not bear that Wanted to harm you, My Lord! And you falsified his plan, and destroyed his thoughts And you were the fire of fear in his belly And to you have we come begging for your Grace! And if you please grant our boon, Which is but your ever-lasting love We will sing praises of your wealth For the Goddess of Wealth is your woman! We will praise your valour too And all our worldly sorrows will go away We will be forever happy in your grace eternal! I am also trying to post the audio file in two parts. May Aandal bless you all with her love. regards, sridhar

Thanks Teja! Dear Teja, You made this thread "Lakshmikaram" by posting some beautiful pictures of Aandal. So long as the meaning soaks into our being it does not matter in which language do you read it or chant it. And I think by this time you know the connection between Aandal, Telugu and my native village Varalotti. If not please visit the thread http://www.indusladies.com/forums/v...rial-stories/5349-varalotti-on-varalotti.html And there is a religious significance to your name as well. When a person becomes pure by love, meditation and other austerities, his internal being glows and shines as if it were the sun itself. This internal glow is called Ojas. Very soon our body starts reflecting that glow externally. That is called Tejas. And your name Teja means one who has that Tejas. regards, sridhar
Dear Varalotti, Thank you. More than this word is arrogance for the timely help you have given me. I assume you would have posted this pasuram in due course, but priorotised it following my request. Thanks a million. The translation- I am sure when Andal is doling out rights for Thiruppavai in many lingos, She will choose you as Her English translator. Chanting is superb. Thanks again,Sridhar. Your translations, the baritone chanting, your willingness nay eagerness to share this pokkisham of Thiruppavai with us- you have infused IL with spiritual love. affly Vidya
