Smile Grih Pravesh Pooja and Rituals...Please Help!

hello all,

I was wondering what Pooja/Rituals I need to do before entering a new home. We are planning to move soon, and I'd like some input on what/how to do, ie: the Kalash pooja, mantras etc.
Any North Indian or South Indian customs and ritual information is appreciated. Thank you all!

Cheers, Trupti

If you are planning to do with a Priest...your local priest would help you with all the procedures.

We don't have a priest where I live, and therefore this query. Thank you.

Do you let the milk simply boil, or do you let it overflow a bit? thanks!

You can boil the milk till it just boils over along with doing the 16 step pooja as given by Chithraji in the Shloka index.

Default gruhapravesam

Dear chitraji,

First of all sorry for posting in this link, i wanted to mail to you, i was not able to find the email or how to post u in a seperate mail, so i have posted here, please help me.

Is grupravesam compulsory for a house which is already built and constructed years ago and if some one is buying and moving to the house. What are the good dates and times for the grupravesam from 25th April to 1st may. If there are any repairs in the house can we do before doing the grupravesam. Do we need to call people for grupravesam or can we do it our selves(myself andmy husband). As it is in UK and here getting a pujari is very diffcult so can we do the puja and grupravesam ourselves. Please let us know complte information and procedure regd the same.

Looking forward for your reply.

Thanks and regards,
aari

Hey...I did mine without a priest..and without any friends..(me and hubby and my daughter alone )

You can ask your parents back home....dates acc to your star and u can do it accordingly...

u can do work b4 or after grahaprevesam

just my 2 cents..

Also u can PM Chitraji...

hope this helps...
