The mantra is:
"Om Shaantae Prashaantae sarva krOdha Prashamanee swaahaa"

This can be chanted 21 times to energize a small vessel of water, and then sprinkled over the person and also consumed.

This mantra has to energized initially (for siddhi purposes) by chanting this for 10,000 times. After that, this mantra can be used as described above.

In case such sprinkling is not possible due to practical reasons, you may just chant the mantra mentally in the angry person's presence.

This mantra can pacify all anger (even wrath of Gods!).

Blessings to all.

Dear Sir,

Namaskarams. Thank you for this matram. Can anyone chant this? What is the source of this mantram?

Can you kindly suggest a slokam to attain the strength of mind and body to start and finish a good deed to completion? I often start many good things, like chanting, learning a new art, exercising. But circumstances (both within and beyond my control) make me abandon them.

respectfully
Vidya

Dear Ms. Vidya:

Anyone can chant the above mantra and follow the procedure detailed in connection with that. In fact, we can use it even to control our own temper. I will add more procedures to that....if we wash our faces with water energized with this mantra, people who get irritated inexplicably in our presence will also get pacified. Thus, it can be used to increase goodwill that we enjoy.

I learnt it from Pandit R.DAKSHINAMOORTHI avargal - the astrologer and mantra-shastra expert from chennai. I did not have the guts to ask him the source of the mantra as there are times when Guruji gets upset when insisted about his sources when he himself does not reveal such sources voluntarily. (I have reasons to believe that he has learnt some mantras from Divine sources directly and obviously will not want to share that with us!). So, honestly I do not know the original source of the mantra. But, I am sure that anyone can use it (provided they have ritual purity - i.e. they are not in menses periods, etc.). I have seen a corrupted version of the above mantra in some north-indian tantrik printed books/ remedial books. But, the version given above is the correct version. This should be chanted after meditating on Goddess Kaali.

Ps: One word to all members.....please do not insist on the source of such rare mantras; persons like me might answer such queries to the best of our abilities; but yogis or mantra-shaastraic experts might get irritated by such queries. You should take what they teach with full faith; the source of the mantras will become apparent in course of time or the Gurus themselves might reveal the source later if necessary. I can understand the thirst of knowledge and curiosity that are behind such queries; but in higher spirituality, the first lesson that we should learn is unconditional faith and complete control over curiosity at the same time maintaining a healthy eagerness to learn new mantras and positive occult procedures.

Blessings to all

Dear Vidya avargale,

The mantra "sthuthasitwam Mahaadevi....." already discussed in these forums is a very good mantra for attaining the will-power to complete any task successfully irrespective of the obstacles or circumstances.

Of course, chanting 16 names of Mahaa Ganapathy before undertaking any task aids in completion of tasks without obstacles.

Chanting Sangashta Naashana Ganesha sthothram from Naarada Puraanam "Prathamam vakrathundam cha Eaka Dantam dwiteeyakam...." once a day for 6 months makes a person immune to all obstacles and helps in completion of any task with focussed mind to the logical conclusion of attainment of objectives.

Aseervaathangal.

Dear Sir,

Namaskarams. Thank you for a detailed explanation on how to chant the mantram and also on other benefits of chanting it. I am sure to benefit by chanting this properly.

Noted your take on my query on the source of the mantram. It was a simple, genuine question. definitely not out of arrogance nor to test the pandityam of the Guru. It was not meant to offend you or your esteemed Guru. But, if in asking I have offended, I apologise.

Thank you once again for the details.

regards
Vidya

Dear Vidya Avargal,

You did nothing wrong in asking about the source, and nor was I offended. I just thought I will throw a light on the fact that sometimes the source of some rare mantras may not be clear or may not be revealed to us by the Gurus who initiate us in mantras. Personally, I have nothing against such queries, but I have found that some Gurus do not like such queries. I just made a mention of that.

Incidentally, I checked a copy of Ravana Samhita I had today after today's pooja and lo! the mantra that I had quoted for "control of anger" taught to me by Guruji Dakshinamoorthi was staring at me in face! So, today I know the source of that wonderful mantra that Panditji initiated me into.....it is in Ravana Samhita (King Ravana was a great scholar though he met his end due to unbridled lust and ego; his samhita is a storehouse of powerful hymns).

Maybe, today was the time that was written in my destiny to know the source of the mantra. I have given it to you all!

Aasirvaathangal.
