Default request for more SL slokams

Dear Mrs Chithra,

At yr convenience, can you post more SL slokams with phalasruthi as given by Paramacharyar? I am looking for the one for hypertension, if there is a slokam for that.

Also two more requests-
1) Can u suggest a good CD for Sree Soundarya Lahari? I would prefer a rendition by a female singer, male singer is also acceptable. Also, is there any CD with each sloakm in a different raagam? So that, I can get the nuanaces of 100 raagams.

2) Do you know of a reliable place where I can buy an Eka mukha Rudraksham?

Sorry for the bother.
Thanking you in advance
warm regards
Vidya

Default Dear Mrs Chithra,

Thank you for the birthday wishes and especially the slokam. I get panic attacks sometimes, so I will memorise this. And chant it when it strikes.

Can you post more rare slokams from your collection? As time permits.

warm regards
Vidya

Default Hello Vidya !

Soundaryalahari is sung in different ragas by Sudha, MLV, Bombay sisters & Mani Krishnaswami. T S Ranganathan's is in shloka format without raga. You can go to Musicindiaonline & download Sudha's. You need not buy CD. I think Bombay Sisters' rendition is also there - I don't remember.
Now in Chennai, genuine rudraksha exhibition is held regularly. Ekamukha one is very costly. You can get good ones in Nepal, but you must go through a recognised source. Philippines, Indonesia are all supposed to have rudraksha trees from where they are exported. I have a list of stars with their corresponding no: of rudraksha faces. If anybody is interested, I can post it.
Love & regards,
Chithra.

Default Happy birthday, vidhya..

Alongwith Sudha & Bombay as Mrs.C has mentioned, you can even try album of Ms.Arundhathi which use to hear all of them alternatively. They are all great!!!

Default Dear Ami,

Thanks a million for the birthday wishes. It makes my day so much brighter. Thanks.

I am so happy to hear you talk abt Arundathi. She is like my big sister. Her father taught me classical music for many years.

And to think, I did not know that Arunakka had cut a Soundarya Lahari track. Thanks a ton for telling me abt this. I will ask her to send me a CD.

warm regards
Vidya

Default Thanx, Mrs Chithra

Dear Mrs Chithra,

Thank you for suggesting some SL choices. I will go in for Sudha RAghunadhan and Arundathi. I understand that SL should not be sung, so maybe TSR is better in strict spiritual terms.

Thanks also for the info on Rudraksham. At yr convenience, can you post the star and mukham combos?

Also, can u suggest any mudras for hypertension?

Pls take yr time, no hurry.

affectionately
Vidya

Default unbelievable, Vidya!!!

You must be blessed to have a golden opportunity like this. A few yrs back only, happened to buy that CD and somehow, the voice got registered strongly in our mind though people Soundaryalaharai is little tough unlike other chantings, still, she sang really great.

Also, have downloaded somewhere in coolgoose, guess her album and also have a separate CD.

Thanks for letting me know this info.,

Rgds.
