| My dear Chithra, Accept my deepest thanks for starting this section, and sharing the highly valued [but often ridiculed] aspects of offering prayers to the Almighty. You already know that this has come at the perfect time for our family. In my home both before and after marriage, I was the crazy one reciting whatever slogam whoever gave me, doing all the parayanams, vrathams etc. , while my brother/ cousin sisters etc. used to laugh at me.....After marriage I struggled to even make my husband apply a tiny bit of vibhuthi ---- but I never ever force anyone for doing anything. So now, I am all the more happier with your spiritual thread as in today's stress ridden life, everybody needs some alternative support system, esp. people like us living away from families/ culture. My mom used to say, howmuch ever a woman does for religious reasons, only little palan (result) will be there, but if a man of the house utters just a few lines, there is so much blessings in that itself !! Chithra, over time you have come to mean so many things to us, guiding us in many ways, always ready to help us out, never belittling any doubt we may have, sharing a bit of you in every posting of yours, by simply being yourself ! Most of all, you are a very good FRIEND to every single person who interacts with you, with you we feel so very comfortable being ourselves. And that takes a very remarkable person indeed, which you undoubtedly are !! May the Almighty shower on you, his choicest blessings and always keep you healthy and happy. May all the goodwill and joy you are giving others return to you as manifold blessings . Most lovingly,

| Welcome back to I L after a long break ! I am not exaggerating even one bit when I say that I did miss you ( more so, your attractive captions ! ) in ask chitvish forum. I am very happy that we will interact in the Religious Forum as well. I attribute the goodwill from everone of you to me only to my " prarthana phalam". I have less common shlokas in my collection & I do want to put it here for the benefit of all of you as well as posterity. My shloka & recipe books are already in tatters & what better way than this forum to document them, tell me ? I want to build up gradually & steadily so that everybody interested, will have something for them, here! With you all so supportive, I think God will lead me in the right path. Love & regards, Chithra. |
