Special shlokas for specific purposes

Hi Chithra,

I have a 12 yr. old son. He is quite lazy when it comes to studies, and basically I want him to grow up and do well. I would appreciate if there is any shlokam that I could say on his behalf so taht he does well in his life.

chant Gayathri manthra. He was the president of our college. When we were
in college we used to chant Gayatri mantra in daily prayer itself.

wanted to ask you about mantras. My husband has having lot of problems in business what mantras should i do . I have heard kanadhara mantras are very good .
Please advise me on that . Since i am gujarati i am not very good in prouncing the high language of sankrit . I have read the mantra which is one line .
If there is anything else i need to know please let me know

My Daughter is a very intelligent and well behaved child but she is intimidated by anyone very easily .she is not able to stand up for herself even when she is right.it is effecting her very much. Could u please suggest a shloka for this and as to how many times it must be said.

I request you to go through the shloka index in detail. You will come across shlokas for Saraswathi, for imrovement in studies etc. He can chant them.
Besides, all mothers have the same type of complaints about their children. Rest assured that this is a passing phase. Do not bother too much about it.

Dear Sudha,
I request you to go through the shloka index in detail. There are many many shlokas given for Lakshmi, for prosperity etc. Go through the saundarylahari thread in detail.
Chant the shloka with 32 names of Durga. Please search.
Do not bother too much about the pronunciation. God is grace personified & will accept us with our follies & trespasses.

Dear Rama,
I request you to go through the shloka index in detail.
She can chant shlokas to remove negative thoughts, to improve personality, to remove fear etc. The no: is left to the convenience of her.
