I must tell you, its not just your articles that inspires us, but your efforts to give it to us, that does the trick and It urges me to follow all those postings that comes from u. I will leisurely read the entire sloka and probably take a printout of it and use it at home....I want to know when should this sloka be receited ? should we say it everyday or on any particular auspicious day ? pls clarify. So far, I know only very less thiruvilaku slokas (One is Vilakea Thiruvilakea slokam and other Dheepa Jyothi slokam that you posted earlier), now I have come to know another one through you. Thiruvilakku Shlokas Dear chithra madam, i saw the shlokas but i have a doubt, 1.Do we have to peform the pottri by putting flowers near the the vilakku or jus like that we have to chant? 2.i have only one kamakshi amman silver vilakku can i use the same vilakku for the slokasor do i have buy any seperate vilakku? 3.which is the ideal time in friday to chant the pottri? pls do clear the doubts bcoz i am planning to start from this friday. thanks in advance. ramya
My dear Ramya ! If possible & available, offer flowers at the feet of the lamp. Otherwise, just chant this, imagining offering flowers to the vilakku from your Hridaya Kamalam (heart) - that is the best thing ! Any vilakku can be used. Please do not buy separately for this. As I always repeat, go by the attitude & not "do's & don't s". Just enjoy chanting & because it is in tamil, we will understand better also. Best wishes for an auspicious beginning. Love, Chithra.
