Re: Exclusive tamil shlokas message for Chitra Madam Dear Chitra Mam I happen to talk to my sister in Mumbai, she told me she got back from the Amman temple lighting a lamp. casually iasked her what prayers she said. she said she lights the ghee lamp and says the Villkke slokam which you had posted. she alsomentioned my mom had taught us that which was a surprise to me as i had heard it but never learnt it. i told her it sounds very familiar and to send the words. after i hung up the phone i came to this site and told my self The Chitram Madam would have posted sometihing on this on the INdus Ladies site. you came through for me. My sister is more easy with Tamil language than i am. but the sostram sounds so endearing and some one rightly mentioned the prayers in tamil is more nicer to say, as we understand the language and feel more bhakthi. i thank you from the bottom of my heart for a wonderful service you hve done to countless woman. i wish you would post the EVERYDay prayers in English font. so ignorant person like me also can take advantage. I am a frequent visitor to this site and enjoy all your posts. This is the first time i am writing. honestly i feel like meeting you and thanking you in person. i wish i was in Chennai. or so i am thinking you re living in chennai. thanks so much hope you get this message ,God BLess! sumans
Dear Sumans, Thanks.Writing tamil shlokas in english (transliteration) is likely to land me up with mistakes. I suggest you listen to an audio & learn from the english text. I think that will help you chant, free from flaws. Do stay tuned to IL. Drop in at my home if & when you come to Chennai Love, Chithra.
Hi Chithra, Thank you for sharing the slokas. Could you please share "Vinayagar Kavasam" in tamil? I had the kavasam in english, but I think lots of words makes no sense. So I am looking for the kavasam in Tamil. Could you please share it if you have? ILoveTulips
