Default Hello Sudha & Seetha !

I have been attending Gita & upanishad classes for the last 10 yrs - living in Chennai has given me all these benefits. Besides we are a group of 2,3 ladies who meet & discuss in a friend's house on all these aspects weekly once.
I am also into simple pujas done at home, without a preist, on a daily basis - nothing elaborate, but, I would say, soul satisfying to me !
Instead of writing general shlokams, If you can be more specific about what you want me to share with you all, I shall do so happily, ofcourse subject to my " limited limitations" !
Love & regards,
Chithra.

Default My dear friends !

If you are all interested, I shall give a very simple format for everyday puja - minimum time- consuming, but at the same time creating a lot of vibrations in the house.
In fact my gift to my friends, cousin etc for New year, birthday etc is my simple puja formats. That covers the minimum that should be done at home everyday like ringing the bell, naivedyam ( don't worry, it is not cooked rice always - I am more practical! ) etc.
Malar, I will post some tamil shlokams. First I will post a simple one in my tamil font.
Copy & paste it in
http://www.suratha.com/reader.htm
You can read in tamil - that will be better. I am just trying a line, try & get back to me.
அனைவருக்கும் என் நல் வாழ்த்துக்கள்
Please write if you can read it if you do the copy & paste.
Love & regards,
Chithra.

Smile You need not ask:)

Dear Chitra,

Although your post is addressed to Malar, I am answering it, hope its ok!
To answer your question, the Tamil script below is clearly legible. So that should be no problem.
As for the everyday pooja vidhanam, I suppose I can safely say that it will be happily welcomed by all our ILites who are a part of this thread. I , for one, am surely looking forward to it.
After coming to US, I too am getting a few opportunities at last to get in touch with our rich spiritual heritage and I am very happy about that. I feel this new forum on religious and spiritual discussions will prove to be very interesting and enriching.
Will look forward to your posts.
Regards,
Kamla.

Default Atlast, you are calling me Chithra !

Dear Kamla,
Thankyou for the mail. I addressed it to Malar since she specially asked for Tamil shlokas - everybody from our I L family is welcome.
I prefer to post less known tamil shlokams rather than the popular ones.
Now the drafting has to be done in the tamil font ! I will start today & go ahead. Thanks for your prompt reply.
Love & regards,
Chithra.

Default Chant this while taking bath

Gangeycha Yamuneychaiva godhavari saraswathi
Narmadey sindhuh kaveri Jalesmin sannidhim kuru

This means we are bathing in the sacred waters from all the sacred rivers of India.

Smile It's for you:)

Calling you Chitra does not come easy to me, I want you to know that Chitra avargale:)) But it was your expressed wish that I drop all formal addressings and how can I not oblige your wish? You give me (us) so much and it is through you that I even came to this Website. I have so much fun here now and the least I can do is to please you in a very small way:) But I want you to know that you have a very 'friendly- respectable' place in my heart _^_

Lovingly, Kamla.
