Hi Pumpkin01, Thank you so much for the response. I started the pooja on Varlakshmi. What do you put in Kalasam. I had placed the kalasam on rice and filled it with water. Placed a coconut on top with mango leaves and a red blouse piece around. Is this the correct way. Regards, Swetie
Hi Swetie, I am glad that you started the puja. I haven't done Varalaxmi Puja but I think in Varalaxmi puja they place the coconut on the top of the Kalasham and decorate. I put a red cloth and on the cloth put 1 or 2 fist of rice and place the Kalash filled with water, then place a plate on it. On the plate keep a gold ornament or silver or a coin. Apply sandal paste, Sindur, Turmeric powder then fill the plate with red flowers and imagine Maa Laxmi there when you are doing Dhyan of Maa Laxmi.
