Hi Rathy I did the pooja with lime lamp for last 9 weeks. Procedure given here are what I followed. Friends if there is anything wrong please feel free to post it. Procedure for making Lime lamp: Take a big lemon. wash it. cut it into half. Remove the juice. Dont use the juice. Turn the skin upside down. so that the smooth side goes inside. level the outer skin so that the lamp can sit properly. put santhanam and kumkum on the lamp So you have two lamps now. pour oil and put "Thiri" Procedure for doing pooja: This can be done in any temple with Durga or amman sanathi But it can also be done at home for performing pooja, you can chant lalitha sahasranam, thrisathi or whaterver slokas you know about amman If you are doing pooja at home, Do some neivedhyam After chanting sloka, do arathi to amman Best Days and time for doing pooja: Raghu kalam in Friday and Tuesday are best to perform this pooja Note: If possible avoid nonveg, onion, garlic on those days God Bless you!!!
Hi Meena, Thanks for sharing the procedure. I have a clarification. I am working and go early morning and come after 6 in the evening. Can I light the lime vilakku in the early mornings \ evenings at our house\amman temple, other than the ragu kalam? Thanks,
I am also a working women, so i tried doing on Sunday 4.30 to 6 which is also a ragukalam in durga temple... First time when i went and saw at that time.. there was a huge crowd... If that also doen't work out try in home itself...
i too startedlast week at home. but i felt some moodchanges and was angry for unknown reason and i correlated this with this lemon vilakku. i dont know whether this has impact if we do it at home. please enlighten me. Thanks in advance. Wish all I Lites a WOnderful New Year.
