    hi

    I am planning to read the guru charitra.
    We have to go to temple and read it or we can read it in front of the god in house (i.e,., pooja room)

    I am planning to read the charitra on 2 dec 2010.
    Can i start on the day. can i start reading charitra in morning or evening on 2 dec.

    Wat we have to offer the god after reading the charitram. Please give me the information on this.

    You can read Sri Gurucharithra or Sri Padavallabha Charithra in your home. No problem with that.
    Is this Saptaha parayana?
    Yes you can start reading on 2nd Dec (Thursday), can be read in the mornings/ evenings.

    If you are reading Sri Guru Charithra in the morning read before having breakfast (pref). If you are reading it in the evening if possible take bath and start the parayana.

    After reading for the day, i.e at the end that day's parayana offer neivedyam sugar/sugar candy/milk with sugar/fruit/dry fruit/jagerry etc

    After you finish the parayana totally you can offer pongal/halwa/payasam as prasadam and offer dakshina 2 rs or 11/21 rs etc.

    Dear Saras!
    i started to read Sri Gurucharithra according to instructions , unfortunately i got my monthly due and so 10 chapters are remaining.How to go around?? start again or finish the remaining chapters?? IS it bad that my chanting has gone incomplete??are there any bad consequences??

    Complete the remaining chapters which you have started.

    If you wish to start again you can do so after completing the previous one. Don't leave it like that.

    Please remember nothing done to God /Datta Swami will never go waste or give you bad consequences.
    It will give you only good and happiness. Chanting can be done all times. no bar for that.
