Hello,

My wife is 12 weeks pregnant and she had slight bleeding for couple of days. When we checked with doctor, she advised that Placentia was low and due to that bleeing was there. However the baby was doing fine and asked to take complete rest and also prescribed to use Duphaston in order to avoid abortation.

Could you all please advice if this medecine is really required at this stage, I checked in internet and saw some negative reviews. Your valuable comments are much appreciated.

Duphaston is safe to take during early pregnancy. I took the tablets and progesterone injections till my fifth month. it is taken to stop bleeding and if theres is a history of miscarriages Duphaston can help sustain the necessary levels of hormones required to maintain a healthy pregnancy.

please dont go by what internet says it always gives you mixed responses
bleeding due to low lying placenta is seen in many cases so dont worry
your wife and LO will be fine
please follow what gyn says they know better than anyone of us JMO
