If the pregnancy is normal you can do normal household chores. If you have a normal delivery you should be able within a few days to live normally. C section causes more restrictions (no lifting of heavy things for some weeks). Pregnancy and delivery are not sickness, it is part of normal life.

Where is your husband and why is he not supporting and taking care of the household?

Yes you can do housework if every thing is normal. Try not to do heavy lifting.

If you don't have any help...then you need to plan ahead.
Get your husband to help you.
Your husband will need to take leave around the time of delivery.
You will need to keep someone to do house work of a few months....probably someone to cook for a few weeks. If your husband can make simple food...he can help out.
You can make snacks like ladoos and other stuff before and store.
Get all the stuff ready for the arrival of the baby.
Use the internet to find how to take care of baby and yourself after child birth.

Why don't you get a mop on a rod that is available these days in the market? It will make your life easier now and after child birth.

Please get over your hesitation in letting your husband help if you have no one else around to help. He will need to help you after child birth too. Do appreciate the care and help he does.

You can teach him some simple dishes .....it will help every one.
