    Hi,

I am 22 weeks along with twins. Though I do not show any signs of preterm labor, my doctor wants me to take steroid shots after a month. This is just because mine was an IVF pregnancy and hence considered high risk.

Please let me know if it is ok to take the steroid shots? Does it cause any harm if taken so early in pregnancy? What happens if I go to full term, God willing? Will it cause any side effects?

    Please help me ladies...

Well it seems scary but if the doctor feels that's the right thing to do then I think you should go ahead with it, if it is a reputed and experienced doctor.
Do your best and leave the rest to god!

    Goodluck and take care.

Yes my doc advised me the same , and it's a very common pratice with high risk pregnacy, because the babies can arrive anytime and they want the lungs to mature to survive.

i have cerclage because of my loss last pregnacy and docs are monitoring baby, and told be if I have signs of preterm labour , they will give me a shot, but so far everything is going smoothly.

    Good od luck with everything.
