Baby Shower gift for SIL

I am going to India next month. And my SIL is having a baby shower. I want to take some special and useful things for her and the baby. We do not know the gender of the baby. And i would also like to give my SIL some special gift. Any ideas appreciated.

Congrats on your SIL's pregnancy.

As u said u do no the gender of ther baby, buy some common new born clothes like sleep wear, tshirts, shorts, bibs and foot wear. Try in Babies r us and kohls nowadays they put lot of discounts.

Buy some infant bouncer nowadays u r getting for 15 bucks, play mat, toys. U can see many online deals for toys at cheaper price.

Joju, check this thread I created a few weeks ago about diaper cake. Its a unique idea and I am sure your SIL will like it. Buy all the necessary items and make it at home

If your SIL is planning to buy a crib buy the crib organizer it comes for some 25$ in Walmart, where you can hang it on to a door or to the adult bed or crib where all the compartments in this organizer help in holding several items for the baby like the diapers, wipes, baby lotion, baby powder etc.

Other things I like from here are Diaper bags, changing station pads (portable), also portable beds (fold and take anywhere ones) also there is a health and safety kit for babies..see this in the medical section in walmart, it comes for some 15 to 25$ you would have thermometer, ear thermometer, nebulizer, nail trimmer etc..
