Belt to reduce post-pregnancy tummy

Most often they can be found in speciality pharmaceutical shops close to the hospital - these are not the large pharmacy chain stores. Amazon.com also carries them. Medela is a popular brand but there are others too. You can even enquire in your local CVS for special needs like this and they will be able to tell you where it is available in your locality.

This is a news to me, I was really worried about reducing my tummy post delivery...good that there is something of this sort...Please can somebody tell me more in detail about this belt. How many days after delivery should this be used? how long can this be used? Is this suggested by doctors? will this hurt if you have a C Section?

waist support girdle worked well for me...it dint pain much but increased the bleeding that happens after delivery...i guess it must have helped to contract the uterus back into normal size...my gyny told me to start wearing it within 24 hrs after delivery (normal) and within 2 days after delivery for c-section...i had a normal delivery so dont know if it will hurt the stitches of c-section...
even now, 1 yr after delivery i use the belt when i have back pains...it corrects the posture and gives instant relief for post delivery back pains...
but choose the size carefully according to ur hip measurement, if it is too tight becomes very uncomfortable..

What Vidya said seems to be the norm in US too - most ob let you wear the belt from the 24 hrs after delivery while you are asked to wait a couple more days if you have a C-section. Either way your ob is your best advisor on these things. If you google for "post partum belts" or search on amazon you will get a number of sellers on that too.

for me more than the belt the cotton dupattas worked very well...if we wear the belt it starts sweating...so i used to tie two cotton dupattas tightly so that the tummy reduces..try it and see..
