Shruti - Did you have a normal delivery with stitches? I remember having soreness from my stitches for a while. I went back to my OB and got some steroid cream for it. It used to exasperate after my periods. It went away completely after using the cream. I was told it was from the scar tissue formed due to the stitches. If you are still sore, I suggest you see your OB and get something for it.

    Regards,

Maybe you are allergic to the sanitary napkin/pad that you are using.

Keep the area dry after washing as it may help prevent bacterial infections and there are many cream available in pharmacy to clear sore. Do consult your doctor if the symptoms persist. Take care

add sea salt to hot water and clean with that water. it helps in reducing the soreness.
