    The mad rush for money
    The crazy run ,the crazy spree!

    No time to watch no time to see
    Precious moments on the flee!

    Lots to possess lots to own
    Materials that yet have to be known!

    As wealth that must accumulate
    So much to do before it’s too late!

    Grab a bite and back to work
    Forget the heart, the dangers that lurk.!

    The stress is over looked, the pain
    Is needed for that awesome gain!

    And when at last one has the time
    There’s neither the age nor the chime!

    The walk without the cane seems tough
    First life never smooth now people so rough!

    Guess it’s wise to pause and think
    Before it’s late to visit a shrink!

    Is it all worth when one can’t breathe?
    And enjoy life before the final wreathe!

    Hey look just stop it never comes twice
    Enjoy the present add some spice!

    Else one would be lost in this crazy run
    Don’t just exist c’mon have fun.!!!

    Well said why spend all our time now to earn the zillions why can't earn as much as you want and enjoy the life today itself then, repenting later. God knows what is going to happen tomorrow, we are not even sure tomorrow will arrive or no.
    I am always of this theory enjoy today do what you want to do today itself then repenting later that I wanted to that and I couldn't do it. Live in present then living in future. We don't know what future has in hand for us.

    Yes we need to live and enjoy life when there is time .Many a times I have seen couples saying," Wish we had enjoyed life when we could ,we kept procrastinating and now we are in position to move".
    Ofcourse live wisely too!!

    I liked thse lines ! Sometimes in the mad rush for money we forget that family and time spent with our kids is irreplaceable. Then one day its too late and life has gone by never to come back again

    The " Bard of IL " is back at last with a bang !

    Great topic ......reminded me of that famous song by the Swedish group "ABBA" ( which broke up years ago ) "Money ,money money........it's a rich man's world".
    The mad race or rush has been there since the beginning of time and the speed of the runners of this race has almost caught up with the speed of lightning and this is where poems like yours will do their bit to warn us to apply the breaks and pause a while, take deep breaths , smell a couple of blooms ,enjoy their fragrance,feel the wind in your hair ,watch the clouds glide softly and such likes !!

    Thanks dearie for your lovely rhymes which are truly appropriate warning chimes !
