Friends please join me in writing Couplets : I'm posting here my poem with couplets. Just one Couplet is enough too...please write....

A Tribute to Mother Nature

I love nature for its beauty
To save and preserve is my duty

The grandeur of its mountains
The freshness of the fountains

Natural little springs
Cool pleasant water it brings

Of which my heart sings
To the music of the bird's chirping

Happy Earth Day
For it's your 40th Birthday

Mother Nature I shall cherish
And make you flourish

In whatever possible little ways
May the God's bless me with Fays

To protect the greenery
And create the ever green scenery!

when you stumpled I was there to hold you
when I stumple no one near to hold me

You showered love like a mom,
And shielded me from any harm.

You rejoiced whenever I did,
Something small. I loved that!

You always spoke kind words
And so great are your deeds.

I followed you like a shadow
Happily basked in your glow.

Took your advise and grew
My own identity thats new!

You were with me always, yes!
I wouldn't have settled for less!

One fine day you left me!
I felt so raged like the sea.

"Unfair!", I shouted and cried.
How insane and stupid was I?

You never said about your illness.
It ate you, you wished my wellness.

"Am really proud of you my dear!
I will be with you always, here!"

Thats what you'll say, I know.
Thats why am crying, you know?

Sorry @Poetlatha for a different one this time - this is a continuous one.
Earlier, I made a brave attempt to translate a few ThirukkuraL couplets that I liked, to four liners in english. Hoping this sounds good. -rgs
