Life...Food & Spice way....

Life is like the vegetables and spices...
Sweet as 'Sugar'
Sharp as 'Salt
Healthy as 'Raagi' malt..
Tempers rising 'Chilly' high..
Sometimes tasty as 'Potato' fries...
There could be bittersweet rows...
Just like the 'Cloves'
We often weep and cry in pain....
It's like removing the skin out of the 'Onion' in plain...
Our achievements win us awards and trophies...
Like sipping a cup of filter 'Coffee'
Sometimes we make mistakes, wanting
Us to run away and flee...
How many times we would have skipped having
The train water 'Tea'
When young some indulge in short flings...
Like tempering using 'Hing'
At times lost we wander...
Can a dish be complete without the garnish of Coriander ??
Life is also smooth and green....
Simple yet delightful like the 'French beans'
To wards of enemies and evil we guard...
We need to sometimes shelter ourselves like the 'Bitter gourd'
Our well planned ideas and visions can flop...
It's like the reaction of heat when the 'Mustard seeds' pop...
Death of a dear one makes us suffer...
It's like overdose of pepper..

'Life' is about solving a mystery...
You can have a taste of it like a pastry...
'Life' could be a fix like the standard 'Five Spice'.
Is there ever a day you would go
Without eating a food common to all..
That is 'Rice'.
