Nice one Dinny - The situation is like two poles which could never meet.

But what I am about to write now may sound a bit cliched [courtesy - many movies - tamil and hindi]

There is a saying that one would at least
Feel happy for being used up or spent
Rather than being ignored. So please
Think about that. That what I meant.

While I was a kid, someone taught me
About the poles and magnetism which
Was so good and entertaining to me
And I wished to join the like poles which

Always repelled each other then!
Alas! My failures started from then!
I took a magnet and broke it then
Hoping that that was the time when

The rule might have changed, but alas
I was branded a fool for a while.
Then came a point when I was at a loss
Reading matter and antimatter while

Doing my undergrad and wondered what
Would happen if two small particles of
Matter and antimatter met. That part
Had always puzzled and I was soon off,

To get the answer for that puzzle.
The answer did shook me in full.
I didn't believe it, but was troubled
That I couldn't get a chance to fulfill

That urge, so I gave that one up.
Then I turned towards nature a bit.
When do this sky and that sea meet?
I wondered and decided to put my bit

In finding the answer to that question
And stopped after seeing you then!
For a moment, I felt that deep passion
And realized that its just a matter of when

That we two meet and be one,
Earning ourselves both a win.
Seems but you are like me but,
Confused and also confusing!

Shrug off those fears now dear!
If I were with you even for a day,
I will see death which would then fear
Coming near me again any day!

Love makes mortal souls like us
Immortal, so come! Don't delay!
Don't fear about living endless!
Who needs it? You need not pray!

Time is relative, and thats a fact.
A minute of fulfilled life is worth
Than many lifetimes and in fact,
We are lucky to realize that mirth!
