THANK YOU CHILDREN from A to Z

Thank God for these children,
For teaching me to ADMIRE,
All my fellow brethren,
And to be at peace with what we acquire

Thank god for these children,
For showing what is BEAUTY,
I learnt from these very children,
True beauty is when work is play, and not really a duty.

Thank god for these children,
I learnt from them what it is to CARE,
In teaching them,I learnt to share,
And analyze each and every point threadbare.

Thank god for these children,
You are all for me so DEAR,
Oh the age when you have nothing to fear,
Your warmth brought many a times ,in my eyes ,a tear.

Thank you dear children,
For filling me with ENTHUSIASM,
your love comprehended facts I couldn't fathom,
Your love always bridged many a chasm.

Thank you dear children,
For teaching me to have FUN,
You helped me enjoy life by a ton,
You brightened my life like the morning sun.

Thank God for these children,
with them I enjoyed many a GAME,
To apologise ,I learnt, is never a shame,
Oh Dear Dear,you are all my children,what's in a name?

Thank you dear children,
You've given me lots of HAPPINESS,
With you around,I've never been listless,
Many a time, you were my teacher,therein lies your greatness.

Thank you dear children,
I learnt to use my IMAGINATION,
And to execute with determination,
You are all truly my inspiration.

Thank god for all the children,
Into many twilight years,you are a JOY,
Whether shy,coy or a tomboy,
You are for me the heaven's toy.

Thank you dear children,
From you I learnt it is virtuous to be KIND,
In your eyes,only a well of LOVE I find,
Sometimes,MISCHIEF is Thy name,but, Oh, never mind.

Thank you children for giving me a NAME,
Not just a name,but lots of fame,
From you I learnt to sit on the fence,
And never ever take any OFFENCE.

Thank you children,you've done me PROUD,
I get noticed even in a crowd.
You forced me to be alert and QUICK,
To catch you before you came up with a trick.

Thank you children,
you've taught me RESTRAINT,
And many a SKILL,
To come out of a constraint.

Thank you dear children,
You've wrought in me a TRANSFORMATION,
You've made me stretch my imagination,
No doubt,for me,you've been an education.

Thank you dear children,
For showing me what is UNITY,
For teaching me to convey with brevity,
For making me think with clarity.

Thank you dear children,
From you I learnt many a VIRTUE,
I now know that love,and not affection, is always true,
Many a time,some strength,from you ,I drew.

Thank you my loving children,
With you I saw the difference between play and WORK,
Thanks,you goaded me to play and not work,
What I did all day was play and not work.

Thanks,my beautiful children,
In life, you are my Xample,
Upon so many blocks when you stumble,
(The lessons you learnt were ample,but,)
the meaning of life,it is here that I grappled.

Thank you all ye lovely children,
You've taught me that life is a YO-YO,
So many ups to go,
So many downs to let go.

Thank you dear children,
For now I face life with a ZEST,
Gloomy thoughts are now under arrest,
Life will now forever be a fest.

 

Dear Kamla ma'am,
I consider it a blessing for having been able to serve in a playschool for over 3 1/2 years.The unalloyed love that the children showered on me is something I can never forget.In teaching them A,B,C.....I discoverd my own Lexicon.This poem is dedicated to my daughter and all my children at Study hall,the play school.And I am very grateful for your kind words of encouragement.Thank you so much.
