LIVE WITH LOVE AS YOU CANT TURN BACK TIME

A silly argument led to a big fight
They forgot they were spouses and it really got tight
Each waiting to show the other than they were by far
The superior of the two, their egos wont take a scar

It went on to be ugly, as ugly can get,
The shouting and screaming that demands be met
And the wife and the husband now became foes
Forgot the promises , only remembered the woes

And then in the midst of all the yelling out loud
There was a silence from the husbands end , the wife proud
Thought she won the war and was about to celebrate
When saw the husband scrouching, sweat dropping from his pate

Suddenly the wife felt her heart summersault
Dear God what has happened !! All my fault!
She ran to him, as he bent to the ground
The room filled with silence only his cry was the sound

She had to save him for she loved him , was her life
Could she turn back time? Never………, though she wished as his wife
Now she tried frantically to revive her soul
After all these two bodies together made her whole

When at last in the hospital he smiled,
She knew the worst had passed, now there was hope and life
She bent and kissed his forehead, that all was right
“Whatever now, lets promise we shall never fight”

Together a few days later they went to their abode
And lived a long life as the path they happily trod
Realized that in life there would be problems truckload
But the love together paved a blissful road

Hi Poetess
Another super poem again with advise to the married couple:bowdown
So true at time we go on fighting without realising, when something happens we get panicked not knowing what to do.
To a certain limit you need to fight becoz love is hidden in those fights too, but don't make it so ugly that we repent for it.
Both husband and wife without each other are alway incomplete.

That was a lovely poem.We seldom realise that life is too short and we need to live it to the fullest.We scream, shout and hurt..not to realise that the other person dead the next day and we carry that guilt within.

More than a poem, it was a wonderful lesson dear.Loved it.

What a lovely one Devika! What a beautiful way to put things in persepctive.

Really, most of the times we fail to put things in proper perspective and get roiled up in the minor ugly details.

Dear Devs,

This is one of the most amazing pieces I have ever read. I am really awed by your ability to put poetic imacts on everyday life. Not everyone understands Keits and Wordsworth, but yours reach the masses like a honey bee reaching its floral desitiny!

Usually between husbands and wives there are more instances of minor issues that erupt like volcanoes. I have seen couples fight and not talk to each other for months or even for years together! Ultimately, is life worth it??
