Our Love When we are together Our bodies locked in love Striving to give, struggling to take Suffering and rejoicing in ways unknown Let our fused soul stand away To watch the mating ritual In a state of amused contentment That's beyond understanding - Varalotti Rengasamy
Dear Sridhar, As I said earlier... its brilliant. I have to take the help of our Rumi in saying I see the mating of my soul with my Holy Mother as a heavenly bliss... what else we need ?
Dear Sir, It is very nice as usual. Though it may sound contradictory it is true! may be this is also a paradigm shift. Love Thanks Divine, Savvyheal
Dear Lalitha, thanks. But my request is that let's not get into Rumi or for that matter anything spiritual to get this poem right. Love is divine whether it happens between God and a devotee or a man and a woman; and it doesn't lose its divinity for the only reason it's expressed through the bodies. I may sound a little explicit; but I am speaking the truth. sridhar
Dear Sasi, thanks. There is no room for contradiction in this. We have been trained to think one kind of love is bad and the other good. Whether a love is good or bad does not depend on the object of love but only on its intensity. Love at the level of bodies can also be divine. And when the heart joins in that eternal dance of love we see God there in the union. I really apologize for the inordinate delay in responding to your fb. ltd sridhar
thanks, sis. It's about love. And love is divine, whether it is between a man and a woman or between man and God. thanks for coming in, sridhar
Dear Sridhar, I never said that love expressed through physical bodies is wrong..but my first thought which hit me when I read this was what I expressed here. There is nothing obscenity or bad about the physical love... I just expressed my thought... Hope it didnt take away the essence of your poem :-(
