Skating classes - K.K. Nagar

Did you know there are skating classes taken in Sivan Park, K.K. Nagar?
It seems there are only two such classes in the city - one in Besant Nagar beach and one in K.K. Nagar. not sure if there are any more in the city.

My mom takes my DS everyday to that park and DS is over enthu to join the classes. They take children from 3 yrs onwards. But for kids little less than 3yrs, they see the physique and then decide if the child can cope with it.

I heard there is no fees. Only a deposit of 1.5 k (or less) for the skating kit they give. they give pads for elbows, knees and the rollers too. we can bring the pads home but leave the rollers there with them.

I heard children are first allowed only to walk with the rollers on (they have a adjustment in the rollers which controls the speed), as the children get comfortable with walking or moving slowly with rollers, then the speed is increased. there are good instructors and parents can sit in the pavement within the gated area for skating.

Classes are three days per week - for 1 hour on each of those days.
