hi Suganthi,
Blue bells school has two branches i guess. My hubby's niece studied in Bluebells Ashok Nagar for 1 yr. Excellent centre for day care. Of course there are many gud institutions now-a-days still i liked it a lot. They really help a lot in improving their abilities. Plz go ahead.

well it really depends on what you want for your child. I know of parents who have no or low expectations from playshcools, and have been satisfied with bluebells, since the kids are in safe hands. as one mom said, parents desperately want something and there is no alternative to bluebells near Padma Seshadri. So they dont complain and are happy with bluebells, as long as their child comes home with few songs learnt etc.
However if you dont want your child to be mostly in the care of aayahs and if you care about the classroom environment, curriculum and quality of materials or english language ...this may not work.
One good thing about bluebells is the fee is low. But what this also means is they take in too many kids, it is crowded and just about everyon send their child there - the auto man, the bus driver, the maid etc (my friends maid sends her child to bluebells). now all kids are made in god' image, but if who your child interacts with matters to you, bluebells is not the place for you.
as for alternative...i am told an lady from the US, with masters degree and experience in education will be starting an small exclusive play school near padma seshadri, k.k.nagar....but i haven't seen any signs of it yet. if i find out more, i will get back. in anycase it may be of international standards, so fees may be as high as bangalore or the adayar palyschools. it is maybe more suited for parents who want a high0end classy place.
if you want an inexpensive make-do kind of place with ayah care bluebells should work.
hope this helps.

Hi -
My daughter goes to Blue Bells in Saligramam and we have been very happy with her development. I think a play school should be a place where learning should be introduced in a fun way, since that is the kids introduction to kid life. So it should not be overtaxing but at the same time it shoud help in the child's mental development. They cover nursery rhymes, identifying fruits, vegetables, anaimals, birds, story telling, colouring, good habits...What more should a pre kg kid be expected to know...?
Also, the ayah's in the school are just to help the kids when they need to use the bathroom or eat ther snacks..and the kids are not left exclusively in the ayah's care.
When we have several NRI parents coming back to India for their kids education, why is it that we still more secure if our kids are in a posh play run by a US returnee? It hasnt opened yet, so we dont yet have any feedback to depend on...
Just my thougts...

| | Re: Bluebells in K.K.nagar Every school does the best they can. It all depends on what environment each parent wants for their child. I would advise parents to go check out each school - take a tour and decide for yourself. A tour is a must, after all playschool kids are so young. Since I posted last, here is some more information on Zoom Kids. I am not sure of the exact date it opened, I believe it was sometime end of last year, but it is definitely up and running. The feedback I have gotten is that the U.S. educationist, who is running Zoom Kids, is pretty laidback and is not aggressively advertising. So far there are not many advertisements or banners of either the playschool or the afterschool activities at Zoom. Apparently the full capacity of the playschool will not be more than 20-25 kids. This is why she is taking it slowly. I have also heard her story time session with Ms Jeeva Raghunath was a big success. The school is located near Padma Seshadri, k.K.Nagar and contact phone is: Apart from Zoom Kids, I just found out Eurokids has also opened in Ashok Nagar. This is all good news for parents in K.K.Nagar area, particularly, those who want playschools of the same quality like Nugambakkam, Adayar etc. If I have more information on Zoom Kids or other schools/activities for kids in the K.K.Nagar neighborhood - I will post it. Anyway parents, it is your child, so please use your own judgment when you tour any school and meet the manager. Go with what your gut and intuition tells you about your child's school, its environment and the staff. It never fails, after all intuition is nothing but the voice of God. Cheers to all and good luck!

Hi all,
My daughter is studying in blue bells play school and has got an excellent development in habits. They have taught almost all identification like fruits, veg,vehicles,helpers,insects,animals.. Plus nursery rhymes in english ,Hindi and Tamil. The most important thing about the school is cleanliness and discipline. Month of admission is march. So don't miss putting ur kid in blue bells. Its worth spending such amount.
