I guess this could be considered general chit-chat My family and my to-be fiance's family has agreed that he and I should have our engagement ceremony in Tirupati temple this December. What I am confused about is, how do we do this (Poojari, prayer, slokas, ring exchange)? Who do we contact? Can the temple arrange this? Have any of you had your engagement at the Tirupati temple? Hello Spicychai Hearty congratulations and wish you a happy married life. Our family once performed Upanayana function (don't know in English) to my brother at Tirumala. We just book a big cottage, and hired a purohit, bought all things from our place and done the function. No permissions , nothing. We just done it in our cottage with 50- 60 people. If your function is in Tirumala temple surroundings, then you need to take permission. I think you need to consult TTD Administration to conduct ceremony.
