OK now excuse me....this is completely different question. Have no intention to change the direction of this thread but something abruptly hit me and I thought of taking help here.

My sibling who is in HYD is toying on the idea of adopting a dog. She has not done any research so far about the expenses but since someone told her that it is good for the kid to have a dog as a pet so she is considering that thought. I know that dogs come with price tag.
She is thinking of a labrador since that is supposed to be a very friendly dog...I have no clue except that they are huge dogs!

Can anyone here tell me how much does it cost monthly to have labrador as a pet dog? Please include all possible expenses including some amount kept aside for urgent unexpected vet visits too. I want to show her this post and use it as a guide to move forward with her plans. So, please come up if you know.
